Our Breeding Goals and Written Guarantee

When it comes to breeding, we take it very seriously. We strive to breed the perfect companion dog, combining beauty, temperament and health into a small affectionate and loyal package.  By health screening our dogs prior to breeding, we do better than most with the goal of producing healthy puppies that also conform to the American Kennel Club (AKC) standard.  Improving breed quality is always one of the goals in our breeding program. We stand behind our reputation by putting in writing our guarantee for your puppy’s health and genetics.

What should be in a Puppy Contract?

1. Any breeder of Havanese puppies that is worth buying a puppy from will have a written contract with a health guarantee.

2. Your contract must contain a Genetic guarantee. Genetic guarantees generally will cover you for up to one year for problems that develop due to genetics. Beware of breeders that give 'life-time' or 'five-year' guarantees. These contracts are misleading because the genetic problem must be diagnosted within the first year of your puppies life. Your Havanese Puppies life is important, so visit the vet immediately upon receiving your new puppy.
